“The goal [of the re-issued Rogers LS3/5A speakers] was to retain the sound and appearance of the original design. Rogers already decided during the conception of the new version to set a high price point, and no expenses were spared in the making of the re-issued model.
After the speakers warmed up, my first impression of these new speakers was that the LS3/5A has an impeccable sound that’s hard to transcend. Secondly, the sound stage was clear even with casual positioning, which meant the symmetry between the left and right channels was precise, which is clearly one of the advantages of the high production cost. Thirdly, the sound of the re-issued model was in the same vein as the original, only with better extension at the high and low frequencies.
At the very low frequencies, the re-issued Rogers LS3/5A had better extension than any of the previous iterations. The LS3/5A 15 Ohms undoubtedly is the most successful re-born classic in the world of hi-fi.
As small speakers, the sound from Rogers LS3/5A 15 Ohms’ re-issued speakers sets a high bar that’s hard to surpass. If you want to know what it’s like to be ‘addicted’ when you play music, you have to try these!”
